Horatio: Connector 13 is a game that is presented in the form of a Japanese anime style inspired visual novel. This decision was made in order to adapt to global market trends, with the goal of promoting Latin American stories to wide audiences.
The gameplay blends visual novel storytelling and interactive puzzle solving in order to unmask the mysterious phenomenons that surround the plot.
One takes the role of “User,” a direct messenger of the information that Horatio and his allies require to bring forth the multi-dimensional entity
Maria: Harbors maternal feelings towards Horatio (son) as if he were truly her own. She works as a translator.
Marco: Works in an antique shop and often ponders the meaning of existence. He enjoys reading books on many subjects such as philosophy. He is a very good friend of Horatio’s father and Maria.
Horatio (The Son): Is the infamous ”Kid X” with a mysterious amount of spiritual power. He doesn’t use language in a conventional manner. Some people that visit him have the ability to sense him telepathically.
Carlitos: The child also known as X-4, and thanks to an incident he was replaced by a child named “Rodrigo”. X-4 was a child who represented purity and virtue. Rodrigo has a personality that is completely the opposite.
Horatio (The Father): Programmer who decided to adopt Horatio. He lost his real son years ago, and felt he could emotionally start anew again by taking Horatio in. He treats him as his own child, despite the fact Horatio will only be alive for one year.
